Truth & Responsibility: Remembering Srebrenica
25th Feb, 1:10 – 2:00 pm, Senate Room, New College
Panellists: Dr Ines Asceric-Todd, Dr George Wilkes, Amy Culshaw, Douglas Hamilton
This year will mark the 25th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide – the worst atrocity on European soil since WWII. The lesson from Srebrenica is that no society is invulnerable to prejudice and intolerance, and that we must all remain vigilant against these forces. As we remember the atrocities that took place, this event will provide an opportunity to hear from personal experience and to consider recent research from the area looking at the continuing tensions and the prospects for reconciliation.
A vegetarian/vegan sandwich lunch will be provided; please contact CTPI (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any other dietary requirements.
